(Cheng Yen was tonsured and became a nun at the age of 26. It is 45 years since she, with her small willingness, set up the Tzu Chi Foundation three years later and led believers to help people in distress. That small group consisting of 30 people each of whom saved half a Taiwan dollar from budget on groceries every day to do good things has so far developed into a grand organization with four or five million members. Now, Tzu Chi can not be mentioned in the same breath as before. Tzu Chi volunteers all over the world are moved and inspired by Master Cheng Yen's practical spirit and take pride in their work, endeavoring to do good to help others and forming a connection, circulation and feedback of love. )
